Charles Sears, 76, of West Covington, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.

He was a retired Machinist for Ray Gorden Co. in Cincinnati.

Charles served our country in the U. S. Army. He loved fishing and hunting. He also played select baseball where he played the championship game in Crosley Field.

Charles was preceded in death by his brothers, Homer and William Sears.

Survivors include his loving wife, Dorain “Penny” Sears of West Covington; daughter, Cathy Sears of Verona; brothers, Jerry (Candy) Sears of Erlanger, John (Janie) Sears of Independence; grandchildren, Danielle Bramlage, Zachary Finck, Charles Jared Sears; great grandchildren, Peighton, Morgan, Ares and Wyatt.

A celebration of Charles’ life will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, October 27, 2014 at St. John’s Congregational Church, 1235 Highway Ave., Covington, KY 41011.

Entombment is on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 10:00 AM in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown, KY. Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
