Betty Goetz Byrne, 91, of Lakeside Park, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 26, 2014. Betty enjoyed traveling, gardening, card games, especially bridge, and was a regular library patron. She was an avid fan of sports, especially playing golf. She loved her family dearly, and was survived by 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Byrne, parents, Harry and Betty Goetz, brothers Jack, Paul, and Donny Goetz, and sister Rita Biecker.

Survivors include her son Gregory Byrne of Cincinnati, OH, and daughters Barbara (Bob) Martinet of Roanoke, VA, Betsy (Dr. Stephen) Schuler of Lakeside Park, KY, and Mary Williams of Crestview Hills, KY, sisters Adele Steinhilber of Kenwood, OH, Teresa Mueller of Ft. Wright, KY, Marilyn (Jim) Overly of Edgewood, KY; and 11 grandchildren: Hannah, Drew, Brook, Annie, Alex, Robert, Kristin, Robbie, John, Elizabeth, and Mikey, and four great-grandchildren: Audrey, Leo, Harry, and Iris and dozens of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-7pm at St. Henry Church in Elsmere, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 7pm. Burial will be Saturday, 10am, in Mother of God Cemetery.
