Macomber, Audrey Josephine, 89 years of age, of Anderson Township in Cincinnati, went home to her Lord Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Mercy Hospital Anderson.

Audrey was born March 1, 1925 in Cincinnati Ohio to the late Clifford Hagen and Ann Rehe Hagen. She was also preceded in death by husband, Clarence Allen Mac Macomber, parents Raymond Wills and Josephine Rehe Wills and brothers, Paul and Bob Hagen and sister, Margorie Hagen.

Survivors include son, Mark (Sharon) Macomber of Mt. Washington, daughter, Michelle (Brian) Redden of Anderson Township, grandchildren, Kyle and Lauren Redden, cousin, Patrick Hamman and nephews, Jeff Hagen, Mike Hagen and Gregory Hagen.

Audrey spent many years of her life as a professional dance instructor for Arthur Murray s Dance Studio in Cincinnati, Ohio and Los Angeles, California. She loved dancing at Moonlight Gardens and the Beverly Hills Supper Club. In addition to dancing, she was very involved with Cincinnati Music Theater and Beechmont Players behind-the-scenes. She was an avid golfer and loved to play with her husband at Avon Field in Norwood, Ohio.

She believed in community service and co-founded the Summit Estates Civic Association to help solve issues that existed back in the '60 s when the neighborhood was so new and there were no places for the kids to play, swim or play baseball. She worked very hard co-founding and co-running the Civic Association and truly tried to bring the residents of Summit Estates together.

Her proudest accomplishment with the Civic Association was that she and her co-leaders scheduled a meeting with Mr. Julif to see if he would consider donating some land to create a space for the kids to play baseball. It made her so happy when he said yes he would donate his land at a future point-in-time.

She was asked to be on the Ohio State Board of Realtors due to her impeccable business ethics and diligence and spent many years in real estate both for Cline Realtors (Anderson Township) and Comey and Shepherd Realtors (Mariemont and Anderson Township.)

The family will receive friends from 9-10am, Monday July 21, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Anderson Township. All are welcome to attend the Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: St. Joseph s Home at 10722 Wyscarver Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45241.
