Joseph McKown, 56, of Erlanger, KY passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Care in Edgewood, KY. Joe worked at Patheon Pharmaceuticals in Cincinnati and KV Pharmaceuticals in St. Louis for over 30 years. He enjoyed participating in Civil War reenactments, and loved to fish.

He is preceded in death by his parents William and Ernestine McKown, and his brother Richard McKown.

Joe is survived by his loving wife Laura McKown of Erlanger, KY, children; Joseph McKown of Covington, IN, and Emily McKown of Covington, IN, stepchildren; Harold Miller of Hillsboro, MO, Alessia Crenshaw (Jonathan) of Brokenarrow, OK, Michelle Miller of Newport, KY, siblings; Bob McKown (Beth) of Champaign-Urbana, IL, Eric McKown (Tonya) of Danville, IL, Tammy Mildfeldt (Dennis) of Bandera, TX, Karen McKown of Danville, IL, grandchildren; Hayden and Ellie Miller of Newport, KY, and Jonathan “Caleb” Crenshaw and Joseph “Wyatt” Crenshaw of Brokenarrow, OK.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Middendorf Funeral Home in Fort Wright, KY. A Service will be held following the visitation at 7:00pm at Middendorf Funeral Home. Following the service Joe will be taken to Missouri to be laid to rest.
