Michael D. Best, 71, of Florence, Kentucky, formerly of Savannah, George, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Michael was a 1960 graduate of Trotwood Madison High School and a 1964 graduate of the University of Dayton.

He was an independent insurance agent for more than 45 years. Michael was an avid golfer and Ford Mustang enthusiast. He was a member of the Savannah Mustang Club. Above all, he was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and friend to many.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Best, as well as, his children: Erin Abbott (Brad), Doug Best (Kellie), Kevin Best (Christina), and Colleen Dowell (Sam). He was the proud grandfather of 9. He will be missed by his many friends.

A celebration of Michael’s life will take place Friday, April 18, 2014, at Middendorf Funeral Home, 3312 Madison Pike, Ft. Wright, Kentucky 41017, beginning at 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 6:00 p.m.
