Betty Jo Foster( nee Lillard ), 77 , of Edgewood, Ky, continued on her journey Saturday, February 22, 2014, from her home, lovingly surrounded by family and friends and assisted by the caring folks of Hospice of the Bluegrass. She was a great homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved traveling, history, reading, animals, playing cards, landscaping, watching CNN and her best buddy cat - Gracie! She was also a former active member of Brucewood Presbyterian Church.

She will be greatly missed by many - daughters: Lisa of Taylor Mill, Carla (Debbie Prichard ) of Independence ; sons: Kelly ( Amy ) of Independence, Micah ( Amanda ) of Edgewood. Granddaughter Ashley of Cincinnati. Brother Mark (Trudy ) Lillard of Williamstown and sisters in life, Jeannie ( Bruce ) Poe of Independence and Linda Sexton of Jacksonville, Fla. Special and dear family friends; Natalie Deering, Sam Deering - honorary grandchildren; Kathy Schulte, Bev Epperson & Tina Kelly - honorary daughters and Sandra Lillard - her patient travelling companion. She was also loved by many other nieces, nephews, in-laws, family and friends. And her high school girlfriends and monthly lunch buds - Ann, Mert, June, Jackie, Kay, Janet and Joann.

She was preceded in death by parents Bill and Lucy Lillard, brothers; Bill and Clyde Lillard. Her body will be cremated and interred with her beloved late husband, Ed (37 yrs ) in The Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Williamstown at the convenience of the family.

A celebration of life open house is being planned appropiately for the springtime she so dearly enjoyed - Sunday May 4, 2-6 pm with a remembrance service beginning at 3 pm at the Park Place Community Center in Pride Park in Taylor Mill, Ky.

Her children would like to especially thank Dr. Rita Watkins MD for her extra special care.
