Rex J. Freihofer, 59, of Fort Mitchell, KY, died Thursday, March 31, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Edgewood, following a long illness. He was a substitute teacher at schools in the Greater Cincinnati area and worked for years in the family bakery business founded by his parents, George and Elizabeth Freihofer, who preceded him in death. Born November 28, 1951, he attended Blessed Sacrament School in Fort Mitchell and graduated from St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Xavier University and went on to complete his Masters degree from the University of Cincinnati.

Surviving him are brothers Frederick (Pamela) and Alex (Martha), and his twin brother, Victor; a sister, Charlotte Ott (James); sister-in-law Carol Freihofer, and numerous nieces and nephews. Also preceding him in death were brothers Charles and Mark Freihofer.
