Joan D. Dierig (nee Sandfoss), 81, of Ft. Wright, passed away on Wednesday, May 25th at her resdidence. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring.

Joan loved her family dearly and loved to spend time outdoors gardening. She also enjoyed playing Bingo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy & Peter Sandfoss; husband, Jack Dierig; brothers, Peter Lincoln Sandfoss, III, Jerome Sandfoss & Jerry Sandfoss and son-in-law, Myron Born.

She is survived by her sons, John Michael Dierig of Loveland, OH & Greg (Jean) Dierig of Wichita Falls, TX, daughters, Bonnie (Rodney) Born of San Angelo, TX & Donna Born of Camp Springs, KY; sister, Monica Striplein; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Friday, May 27th at Dobbling Funeral Home, Ft. Thomas. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 28th at St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring with the burial to follow at St. Stephen Cemetery, Ft. Thomas.
