John B. "JAKE" Powers, age 76, of Reading, Ohio passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016. He was born in Crab Orchard, Kentucky on March 30, 1940 to William Emery and Celestia Powers (nee Layne).

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda L. Powers; son, Joseph E. Powers.

John is survived by his beloved sons, John D. Powers and David L. Powers; 3 grandchildren; siblings, Juanita Godby, Annette Bussell and Dorothy Rowe; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral Ceremony will be 11:00 am Saturday, May 28, 2016 with a visitation from 9:30 am - 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
