Fred Blackburn, 97, of Blackburn, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at his residence. He was a Manager in the Engineering Department of General Electric in Selmer, TN.

He was a member of Grace Bible Presbyterian Church and the Lloyd Memorial High School Alumni Association. He loved tinkering with cars and clocks, woodworking and was a very Christian man. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.

Fred was preceded in death by his loving wife of 73 years, Lola Emogene Blackburn (2014); brother, Wooten Blackburn; sisters, Thelma Blackburn and Hilda Erickson.

Survivors include his brother, Donald (Fran) Blackburn of Petersburg; sister, Wanda Beiser of Florence and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 5, 2015 from 10:00 AM to the hour of service at 12:00 PM all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016. Interment in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky.
