David P. Schoepf was born December 8th, 1931 and was a lifelong resident of Fort Thomas. He passed away on March 14, 2015 in Bradenton, Florida after a brief illness.

David graduated from Newport Catholic High School in 1949 and the University of Kentucky in 1954. He served in the United States Air Force after college as a pilot, flying to all parts of the world.

He worked as a real estate broker and appraiser in Northern KY and Cincinnati for over 50 years and was actively working at the time of his passing. He was a past president, and Realtor of the Year for the Kentucky Association of Realtors. He also received a Distinguished Service Award and a lifetime achievement award from the Northern Kentucky Association of Realtors. He served on various committees for the National Association of Realtors, including as a Regional Vice President, and was a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award, their highest honor.

He held the MAI Appraisal designation from the American Institution of Real Estate Appraisers, being one of a handful of area appraisers to hold that designation at the time; and also held the CRE designation from the Counselors of Real Estate.

David was a member of the Northern KY Chamber of Commerce and was a former director. He was an active member of the Fort Thomas Lions Club, and many other community organizations.

He enjoyed tennis, golf, scuba diving, and travel and was a longtime member of the Highland Country Club. He was a member of the University of Kentucky Alumni Association and was past president of the Northern Kentucky chapter.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Schoepf and Margaret Heyob Schoepf, and his brother Joseph Schoepf (Caroline). He was also preceded by his wife of 55 years, Patti, who passed away in 2014, and their son, David P. Schoepf, Jr who passed in 2010.

He is survived by his son, Doug (Katie), and daughter, Sandra Foellger (Mickey), of Ft. Thomas, along with 8 grandchildren, John and Allison Foellger, Joe, Nick, Melanie, Patrick, Brian and Jack Schoepf, and many nieces and nephews.

Services are private and to be held at the convenience of the family. Burial is in St. Stephens Cemetery.
