Mary Agnes Fox, of Fort Wayne, IN, was called home to our Lord on May 21, 2015, surrounded by her family at Chesterwood Village in West Chester, Ohio.
Born on July 27, 1921 in Hessen Cassel, IN, Mary was the daughter of the late Cecilia M. (Suelzer) and Celestine H. Wyss. She attended school at St. Joseph's Hessen Cassel and St. Augustine's Academy in Ft. Wayne.
Mary met the love of her life, Russell J. Fox, in the Catholic Young Adults club of Fort Wayne. They were married on October 10, 1953.
Both were devout Catholics and long time members of St.John the Baptist Catholic church, Ft. Wayne.
She worked in the General Electric employment office until 1959 and was a member of their Elex Club. She later worked for the IRS and was also a long time member of the Delta Sigma Kappa sorority.
Mary was a talented seamstress, artist, decorator, and homemaker, who cherished spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband were elequent ballroom dancers. She was a most beautiful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She will be missed by surviving twin daughters, Maureen (Jeff) Steinacker of Mason, OH, and Michelle (Tim) Crowder of Houston, TX; grandchildren Tiffany (Crowder) Deitz, of The Woodlands, TX and Nicholas Crowder of Pearland, TX, Abigail Steinacker and Carly Steinacker of Mason OH; great grandson Alex Deitz of TX; sister Josephine Wyss, brother-in-law Francis Coomes, and sister-in-law Gertie Wyss, all of Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Russell Fox, sisters Vivian Wyss and Helen Coomes, and brothers Paul, Mark, and John Wyss.
Visitation at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville, Road, Mason, Ohio, 45040, 3pm to 5pm, Sunday May 24, 2015 with a Prayer Service at 4:00pm.
Mass of Christian Burial, 12:30p.m., Tuesday May 26, 2015, with visitation preceding at 11:00am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fairfield Ave., Fort Wayne, IN. Entombment in the Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
