Albert Joseph "Bud", age 79, resident of West Harrison Indiana, passed away in his home on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. He was born on June 20, 1935 in Cincinnati, Ohio to parents Charles & Catherine (nee Ibold) Walters. Bud had 4 siblings: William, Betty, Roselle Charles & Cathy.

In 1978, Bud married Deborah Fortner. He had 7 children from a previous marriage: Mike, Donna, Chuck, Danny, Jeff, Sherry & Douglas and from Bud & Debbie's union, they had 2 children: Tanya & Joe. Bud worked as a sheet metal worker, for many years at Kirk & Blum.

He spent his free time, doing carpentry work and making things out of wood. His family, says he was extremely talented and most would not be able to tell the difference from a piece that Bud made, and a piece that came from a retail store. He was a huge fan of John Wayne, and enjoyed watching his movies. Bud was a member of the St. John the Baptist Church-Harrison and also Am. Vets in Harrison.

Those surviving that will honor his memory include loving wife: Deborah (nee Fortner); devoted children: Mike (Doreen) Walters, Donna (Butch) Lipps, Chuck (Laura) Walters, Danny (Donna) Walters, Jeff Walters, Sherry Ehling, Tanya (Carl) Sorensen & Joe Walters; cherished grandchildren: Paul, Valerie, Bill, Brad, Sherry, Shayna, Bill, Nick, Layne, Grant, Jessica, Heather, Kelly, Jonathon, Anna, Zack, Destiny, Nina, Joe, Justin, Jeffrey, Mikey, Tommy, Chay, Kendra, Cassie, Trinity, Carl, and Steven; 16 dear great grandchildren; and loving siblings: William (Elsie) Walters, Betty (Jerry) Bauscher, & Roselle Walters; and brother-in-law: Steve Miodrag.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles & Catherine (nee Ibold) Walters; son: Douglas Walters; brother Charles Walters and grandson: Dustin; and sister: Cathy Miodrag.

A Gathering of Friends will be held on Monday, April 27, 2015 from 10:30 AM until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:30 AM, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 509 Harrison Avenue, Harrison, Ohio 45030.

Memorial Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Delhi Skirt Game through the funeral home. Brater Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
