Dale Lewis Miller, 86 years old, of Milford, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in the care of Hospice of Cincinnati, after a short illness. Dale is survived by sons David and Daniel; daughter Ann; grandchildren Nicolette, Justin, Andrea, and Emily; and brother Lee. His wife Virginia and son Dean predecease him.

He was born in Springfield, Ohio and grew up in Terrace Park, Ohio, graduating from Terrace Park High School. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War, after which he accepted a job at Chatfield Paper Company, ultimately retiring at the end of his career from Meade Paper Company.

Dale was fascinated with the Civil War and early American history, indulged his curiosity about roadside historical markers, and was known to step into museums of all sizes and kinds. He enjoyed gardening and nature, nurturing orchids, and road trips, including several cross-country in a bright red van. He appreciated close friendships over the years.

Family will be welcoming friends Wednesday, 11 AM until time of funeral service, 12 PM, all at Craver-Riggs Funeral Home and Crematory, Milford. Dale will be laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed at a charity of your choice or consider a donation to Cincinnati Nature Center.
