Richard S. Grome, 90, of Bellevue, passed away on Friday, February 27th at St. Elizabeth Medical Center - Ft. Thomas. He was a proud Army veteran of World War II, serving in Africa, the Sicily and D-Day invasions, and the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the Purple Heart as well as other military medals and badges. Following his service to his country, Richard worked as a Tool & Dye Operator with Liebel-Flarsheim Co. He was also a member of Divine Mercy Parish. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Grome and parents, Frank & Della Grome. He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia(Clyde) Becknell of Bellevue; sons, Richard (Margie), Jeffrey (Cheryl) and David (Lynn) Grome; 10 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, March 3rd at Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Bellevue. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 4th at Divine Mercy Parish, Bellevue with the burial to follow at St. Stephen Cemetery, Ft. Thomas.
