Fred Lee Banta, 70, of Erlanger, KY passed away on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. Mr. Banta was a retired Product Manager with Tyco Electronics and was a volunteer with Action Ministries and Crossroads Elementary. He was a member of Lakeside Christian Church where he was an Elder and Teacher, life long member of Boy Scouts of America and Institutional Representative with the Boy Scouts.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Banta, of Erlanger, KY, daughter, Jeni (Steve) Hedger of Cold Spring, KY, son, Jim (Emily) Banta of Erlanger, KY, and brother, Frank Banta of Edgewood, KY. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Tanner, Paige, and Grace.

Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Lakeside Christian Church, 195 Buttermilk Pike, Lakeside Park, KY 41017.

Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 at 11:00am at Lakeside Christian Church with burial to follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Action Ministries, 4375 Boron Dr. Covington, KY 41015. Linnemann Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.
